Simon Bednar
Finsure Group CEO
Simon is a senior executive with over 20 years in the Financial Services industry and is currently the CEO of Finsure Group, one of Australia’s leading and fastest-growing aggregators. Simon’s extensive experience covers the area of Sales, Business Consultancy, project management, IT operations, and executive recruitment.
Before becoming the CEO of Finsure group, he worked as the General Manager for 7 years. He has demonstrated his ability and passion for leading and inspiring his people, contributing to business growth, and helping brokers succeed in their business.
Simon has a Bachelor of Engineering where he spent 8 years as Chief Operating Officer for one of Australia’s leading software providers in the Financial Services Industry. He was responsible for driving vertical products into the Mortgage Industry and was operationally responsible for the Microsoft Consulting division.
Kon Shizas
Head of Operations
With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Kon is a seasoned Product & Operations specialist recognised for expertise in product design, distribution, and business operations. Kon’s executive leadership roles have seen him navigating complex challenges, transforming them into strategic growth opportunities that not only drive revenue but also team and process development.
Kon’s passion for strategic growth initiatives is matched by his commitment to optimising core processes. He has operationalised risk frameworks, ensuring compliance and securing business operations. Educationally grounded in business and finance, Kon has kept pace with industry evolution through continuous learning, ensuring his strategies and leadership remain innovative and effective. In essence, his professional narrative is one of unwavering dedication to the pursuit of excellence within the financial services sector, combining strategic foresight, operational expertise, and a data-driven mindset to help guide Finsure into new frontiers.
Fatima Dib
Head of Business Innovation
With a highly accomplished 20-year career spanning mortgage broking, financial services & operational management, she heads the Business Innovation Centre which provides support services to our broker members, ranging from Loan Processing, Virtual Assistant support, Recruitment and Lead Generation across Australia and the Philippines.
Fatima is a collaborative communicator focused on cultivating key stakeholder relationships and promoting synergy across business lines to drive innovation and comprehensive business strategies. In 2015 , Fatima founded a social enterprise and educational platform called The iWoman Project, an initiative dedicated to inspiring and empowering women to manage their financial future, which extends to her role as Vice Chairman at Women of Finsure.
Maria Palmer
Head of Finance and Controlling
Maria Palmer has been part of the Finsure team since 2018. She is an experienced finance and accounting executive who provides direction and leadership for the finance team, is responsible for business forecasting, planning and financial reporting and partners with the CEO with financial insights to help drive business strategy. Having worked in the manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries in Australia, Germany and Ireland for large multi-national organisations, she brings valuable leadership, business and financial acumen to the team.
Maria is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and holds a Batchelor of Commerce Degree from University College Dublin.
Chris Byrne
Head of Marketing
Chris is the Head of Marketing at Finsure Group, bringing nearly 15 years of extensive experience in financial services marketing to his role. His career has spanned various facets of the industry, including franchise networks, lenders (both banks and non-banks), and most recently, mortgage aggregation.
For over a decade, Chris has been a vital part of Finsure’s remarkable journey, contributing to the Group’s growth and success. His efforts have been instrumental in Finsure’s recent expansion into the Asia-Pacific region, driven by a unique vision and dedication.
A passionate advocate of the third-party channel, Chris takes immense pride in championing the role of mortgage brokers within the finance industry. His commitment to advancing the profession and supporting brokers underscores his leadership and influence in the sector.
Samantha Wills
Head of Compliance
Samantha has 18 years’ experience in compliance within the Insurance, Banking & Financial Services sectors.
She has developed Compliance frameworks and implemented a number of business processes through the use of offshore partners in both India and the Philippines during her time working at Westpac, Suncorp, GIO and AAMI insurance. At Finsure, she leads the Compliance team with a focus on the identification and implementation of business process improvements.
Adin Alihodzic
Head of Data Analytics
An executive with 12 years of experience predominantly in the financial services sector.
Adin has a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors and has spent the last 11 years working in the field of analytics. During this time he was responsible for building business intelligence in multiple companies, implementing AI capability into back-of-house and customer-facing functions and driving data-driven and decision making culture.
Ganesh Radhakrishnan
Head of Technology
Ganesh is an accomplished Technology Leader in the Financial Services industry, renowned for his passion for building high-performing teams and scalable platforms to accelerate the future business growth.
With over 15 years of leadership experience, including 12 years as head of technology, he has managed end-to-end responsibilities across strategy, software delivery, cloud and infrastructure, platforms and applications, service delivery, vendor management, cybersecurity, and digital risk.
In his current role as Head of Technology at Finsure, Ganesh drives innovation and efficiency, delivering a technology roadmap aligned with business objectives to strengthen Finsure’s position as an industry leader.
Rivka Louwen
Executive Assistant
Rivka is an award-winning Executive Assistant with more than 15 years’ of experience coordinating, planning, and supporting daily operational, and administrative functions for C-suite Executives.
Rivka brings her expansive knowledge, skill set and experience from her international roles in London, Cape Town, New York and Sydney. Since returning to Australia Rivka was the Women In Finance winner in 2021 and Finalist in 2022.
